Rooms (including the Fitzpatrick Hall) in Queens’ can be booked for free by Queens’ students for a party or society event. The rooms available are best described on the Queens’ College Hospitality website.
To book a room, contact the Catering & Conferences Department at email@example.com or pop into the office in FF staircase. Currently, the Dean’s permission is needed for essentially all room bookings.
The permissions form and further room bookings advice are available here and submissions must be made 10 days in advance.
The Fitzpatrick Hall can be booked in a seating format or in an open layout. The college technician may need to be present in some Fitzpatrick Hall events – discuss this with the catering/conferences team. Badminton can be played in the Fitzpatrick Hall, with equipment in a nearby cupboard and keys signed out from the Porter’s Lodge.
The Fitzpatrick Hall cannot currently be booked for a non-Queens’ society event, regardless of whether the organiser is a Queens’ member.
Current (2019) rules dictate that for a university-wide society (rather than a Queens’ society), the treasurer, secretary or president of a society must be a Queens’ member in order to make a room booking.
